A Gaffney man has died after being crushed by the car he was working on Thursday evening. Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says, family members found 66 year old ,Thomas Dwayne Frederickson trapped underneath a Dodge Charger as he was making repairs to the driveshaft.

EMS and fire department personnel were able to remove him from underneath the car that had slipped off of two jack stands and made attempts to revive him, but they were unsuccessful. Fowler said an autopsy will be performed to assist in the death investigation.
