A fatal car fire is under investigation in Spartanburg County and it might not be an accident. Police in Woodruff found the victim, a woman, in the aftermath of a fire that destroyed a car parked near Hayne Street around 3AM Sunday.
Investigators say they can't determine at this point whether the vehicle somehow caught fire by by accident ,possibly a mechanical or electrical problem, or whether it was deliberately set.
As of the time if this report, authorities hadn't been able to confirm the victim's identity.
