An Upstate CEO and college professor has been arrested after an incident involving a teenage girl in Downtown Greenville, earlier this month. The Greenville Police Department says the incident happened in the area of North Main and Coffee Streets, January 17th.
Police say, the 15 year old victim spoke with them last Friday and reported that a man tried grabbing her and then put his hand on her buttocks. Investigators report that surveillance video and witness photos confirmed the victim's claims.
The suspect 40 year old, Brian Stearns was identified through social media and DMV records. He's charged with 2nd degree assault and battery.
Stearns is said to be an adjunct professor at Clemson University and the CEO of a Greenville based marketing agency.
