Charges have now been upgraded to murder for an Upstate man after the victim of a brutal beating earlier this month has now died.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says they responded July 13th , after being notified that a male victim had arrived at Greenville Memorial with multiple injuries after being beaten with a blunt object.
The suspect, Anton Arnold was then located and arrested for aggravated assault. Days later, the victim identified as John W.J. McCall died from injuries suffered in the incident. The charge against Arnold was then upgraded to murder. He's being held without bond in Anderson County.
