An investigation is underway after a child was found dead in the Upstate Tuesday afternoon. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a missing 4 year old, at a home on Chevy Chase Boulevard in Pelzer around 2:30 PM. Shortly after arriving, Deputies found the body of a child in the woods behind the house.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office says, an investigation into the child's death is ongoing. No further details have been released as of this time, we plan to have more on this story as new details emerge.
