A bar in the Upstate remains closed after shots were fired there, last last month. The Laurens Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Topic Lounge on December 29th.
Three suspects were later arrested in connection to the incident. The Laurens City Council then voted not to allow the bar to renew its business license.
The owner of Topic Lounge, Xavier Pulley appealed the decision and the matter was discussed at Tuesday night's city council meeting. The appeal was voted down by the council.
The Chief Of Police in Laurens referred to Topic Lounge as a "nuisance business", citing that the place is tied to 13 arrests over the last 14 months.
