Ready To Roll: City of Greenville Shares Final Design for Wheelsports Park

Get ready to shred, design plans for Greenville's Wheelsports Park...are officially locked in!

Construction on the park is expected to begin in January 2027.  The 10-acre park, named “Wheels Up,” will feature a skatepark, pump track, and bike playground near the Greenville Downtown Airport.

The city says it received more than 20,000 responses and 1,500 comments across three online surveys before finalizing the plans.

The project will also include connections to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, shade structures, viewing areas, a central pavilion with restrooms, parking, landscaping and art installations.

City leaders say a public-private partnership will fund the park through financial and in-kind contributions, along with the sale of naming rights.
