
A landmark that symbolizes unification in the city of Greenville is set to open. After nearly two years of construction, the long awaited opening of Greenville's Unity Park is set for Thursday.

The 60 acre park will feature over 350 parking spaces. Corporate and individual donors have played a major part in funding the park, as millions in private donations for the project have been received by the city.
A statue dedicated to civil rights era pioneer Lila Mae Brock was unveiled in the park earlier this year.
