
Clemson University is inviting the public to take part in a viewing of next week’s partial solar eclipse.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the Upstate university announced that they will be holding an event starting at noon on Monday, April 8th running through the end of the eclipse at 4pm.
The event will be held on the lawn between Martin, Long and Kinard, where an 80% partial eclipse will be viewable just after 3pm.
Ice cream and pinhole camera crafting will be held at the event, and the planetarium will be open prior to the eclipse showing eclipse science presentations at noon, 1pm, and 2pm.
Eclipse glasses will also be available at the event while supplies last.
