One of the many institutions to return to previously instated COVID-19 rules, Clemson University will continue in-classroom learning with masks required in all university buildings for the spring semester.
Individuals occupying buildings in a designated space such as a classroom, a private workspace, eating or drinking, can remove their face covering but must replace it immediately afterward.
The omicron COVID-19 variant has returned a spike of cases after Clemson's low rate of positive cases in the fall prompted lifting the initial 2020-2021 school year mask requirements.
