A U.S. Congressman from the Upstate has proposed legislation that would impose penalties for leaking Supreme Court documents. Representative William Timmons has introduced a bill in the U.S. House titled "the Leak and Lose Act".
Timmons said " This leak was dangerous to the integrity of the high court and the foundation of democracy. My legislation would help deter future leaks and ensure the Supreme Court remains free from the political winds of time".
