The inmate who died at an Upstate jail earlier this week, has now been identified. The Greenville County Coroner's Office says, 33 year old Michael Anthony Locke of Greenville died Tuesday.
He was transported to Greenville Memorial where he was pronounced dead just before Noon Tuesday. SLED is assisting the Coroner's Office with their investigation. Locke's manner and cause of death are still being investigated and no further details were released.
This marks the 3rd such incident in as many weeks, after two other inmates were found dead at the Greenville County Detention Center May 12th.
