A Spartanburg County woman is in custody accused of trying to kill her children.
Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to calls for a welfare check on children at a home on Bud Arthur Bridge Road in Cowpens Saturday afternoon around 2:30PM. As a result, investigators have charged 35 year old Taylor Gosnell with two counts of Attempted Murder.
Evidence led to investigators to determine that overnight, Gosnell, the mother of the 3 and 6 year old children, attacked them with a knife and blunt object. Both children were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries and are expected to recover.
Gosnell was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center ahead of a bond hearing. The Sheriff's reports this is still an active investigation.
