A crash Thursday morning has led to traffic being backed up for miles on the Upstate's busiest highway. SCDOT officials say the crash happened on the southbound of I-85 near mile marker 46 in Greenville County.
The wreck blocked all lanes for a significant amount of time. That led to backups all the way to the I-385 interchange. Officials have not released details on the crash.
However, they report that the crash caused significant damage to the roadway between the Laurens and Mauldin Road exits. No injuries have reported at this time. Officials are urging drivers to find an alternate route.
