An interstate crash in Anderson County Tuesday morning left one person dead and another injured. The wreck happened around 5:30AM on 85 northbound near mile marker 10.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer was parked on the right shoulder and a pickup truck went off the road and rear ended it.
The passenger of the truck was airlifted to the hospital, where they later died. The driver of the truck was taken was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The crash shutdown that stretch of I-85 for a period of time, Tuesday morning.
The name of the deceased has not been released, as of the time of this report.
