The Anderson County Sheriff's Office has released it's crime stats, and while under the direction of Sheriff Chad McBride, the county has seen total crime decrease by 30%.
A graduate of Anderson University, McBride was elected "Sheriff for Anderson County in 2016."
The stats report breakdown shows robberies within county jurisdiction have gone done 43% over the last 8 years, while violent crime down only 10%.
Of the report, Sheriff McBride said he's pleased with the numbers, but as this next term begins, the focus will be "on driving those numbers down even further and providing an even safer Anderson County."
Sheriff McBride has worked in law enforcement for 23 years. He's also a veteran of both the US Army Reserves and US Army National Guard.
