The death toll on Upstate roadways continues to climb following two separate fatal crashes Monday night. The first wreck occurred around 6:30 PM on White Horse Road, just 3 miles west of Greenville. The Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was in the roadway there and was hit and killed by a driver traveling southbound.
The 2nd fatal crash happened on Carpenter Road in Anderson County around 11:30 Monday night. The single vehicle wreck happened about 7 miles north of Anderson. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the driver of a Ford sedan ran off the road and hit a tree. Neither of the two people who died were identified by the Highway Patrol.
