Greenville County Deputies responded to the Days Inn Motel on Roper Mountain Road just after 10:30PM Thursday night after a woman called 911 saying she had been shot multiple times.
When Deputies arrived, they found the victim who was later taken EMS to Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans issued a media release Friday stating that 23 year old Katherine Calloway of Greenville died from a gunshot wound at 3:45PM Friday.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday. This case is still under investigation by the Greenville County Coroner's Office and the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.
