Former President Donald Trump might have a new competitor on the road to the White House -- if he plans to officially run again in 2024. Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis beat Trump in a straw poll for presidential candidates conducted by the Western Conservative Summit over the weekend. DeSantis led the poll with 74% of voters saying they approved of him as a presidential candidate ahead of Trump's 71%. Texas Senator Ted Cruz came in next with 43%.
