More details have surfaced after a crash that killed a recently retired police in Western North Carolina. As we previously reported Mike Boone who recently retired as the police chief in Marshall, NC died in a car crash, this past weekend.
The other vehicle involved was said to be a stolen car and the crash happened on I-26 at the Mars Hill exit in Western North Carolina.
Skyline News is reporting that the suspect vehicle was driven by a fugitive named Ryan Houston of Weaverville. Houston was reportedly out on bond on other charges when the crash occurred.
Skyline News says they have not heard back from questions they posed to Houston's Pre-Trial Release Coordinator about her possible extracurricular relationship with Houston. Skyline also reports that Houston died in the same crash that killed Chief Boone.
