A Low Country Sheriff's Office is looking for answers after a man's body was recovered from the Waccamaw River. The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says the man jumped from a bridge after a car crash, Sunday night.

His body was spotted in the water by a drone unit around 1130AM, Tuesday.
A witness reported seeing the crash and watching the man then jump from the bridge. The man then went under the water about 300 yards from the bridge and never resurfaced.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the vehicle was found abandoned. There were no reports of the vehicle being stolen and there were no drugs or guns inside the vehicle. The identity of the deceased has been released, as of the time of this report.
