The amount of fatal traffic crashes in South Carolina is getting way out of hand. Just in the Upstate alone there has been at least three fatal wrecks on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. South Carolina ranks 9th nationally in total traffic fatalities thus far in 2022, according to World Population Review. The 8 states in front of South Carolina all have a larger population. As far as per capita, South Carolina is 2nd in most traffic fatalities in 2022. It begs the question of what all should or can be done to alleviate that. Should South Carolina have more of a law enforcement presence on the roads to alleviate this problem?
