A suspect is in custody after a long standoff over the weekend, in North Georgia. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic violence call at a home in Canon, Sunday.
Deputies arrived and learned that the suspect barricaded himself inside the home. SWAT was called in and after 5 hours of negotiations, Michaels surrendered peacefully.
He was taken into custody without incident. Michaels is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and the Sheriff's Office says additional charges are expected.
