The Anderson County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a possible drowning at Portman Marina just after 9PM Sunday evening.
Investigators said the victim fell from a dock at the Marina. Divers recovered the victim from about 40 feet of water and EMS attempted resuscitation efforts.
The victim was taken to AnMed Medical center where he died just before 10:30PM Sunday night.
The Anderson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 56 year-old Eddie Crawford Boseman. The death has been ruled accidental but said alcohol may have been a contributing factor. The investigation is ongoing.
