A U.S. Congressman from the Upstate has responded to the Supreme Court's decision to eliminate affirmative action from college admissions.
3rd District Representative Jeff Duncan released a statement following Thursday morning's ruling saying " Thanks to the Supreme Court’s excellent ruling, students will now be empowered to pursue academic excellence regardless of their ethnicity".
"I applaud the Supreme Court for doing away with racial preferences in academic admissions. Racism is wrong in every form. Instituting preferences to disadvantage people of any ethnicity by denying them access to educational opportunities is antithetical to our Constitutional freedoms. I’m glad the Court saw through the façade of the racist Left and eliminated these bigoted policies.”
