Anderson County investigators say a housefire that claimed the life of an elderly man last night in the Powdersville area, had first been reported as a grassfire.
Firefighters battled the stubborn blaze for more than hour in a home neighbors say might've been a century old. It's in a grove of trees on Wyatt Road not far from the Powdersville YMCA off of Highway 81.
The Coroner says 91 year old Bobby Bruce Orr appears to have been a victim of smoke inhalation, but an autopsy will be scheduled. How the fire started is also still under investigation
