Election runoffs Tuesday set to decide hotly contested races

Runoff elections are set for Tuesday and will decided hotly contested Republican primary races around the Upstate. For the U.S. Congressional Seat in District 3 Mark Burns will square off with Sheri Biggs. Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Burns, Governor McMaster is endorsing Biggs.

The Republican nomination for State Senate District 6 race in Greenville County will be decided in a runoff between Jason Elliott and Dr. Ben Carper. Lee Bright will meet Roger Nutt in the runoff in District 12.

Blake Sanders will meet James Galyean will square off in the runoff for Statehouse District 9 seat in Anderson County. Statehouse District 28 in Greenville County comes down to Chris Huff vs Kerri J. Smith. District 34 in Spartanburg County will be decided between Sarita Edgerton and Joanne Labounty.

In the Greenville County Council District 20 race incumbent Steve Shaw will meet Alex Reynolds.

In Pickens County the primary race for Sheriff will be decided between Tommy Blankenship and Chuck James. In Pickens County, The County Council District 5 seat will be decided in a runoff between Chris Bowers vs Brandon Thomas.
