Military veterans are being honored in the Upstate Friday and throughout the weekend. Several area towns held events Friday in recognition of Veterans Day and others are set to hold celebrations this weekend.
An event was held at the Greenville County Square Friday, Lt. Governor Pam Evette was on hand. . The Stars and Stripes Dinner is set for Friday night in Fountain Inn, as are the Veterans Dinner at Stoneledge Park in Duncan, and in Simpsonville at the 1st Baptist Church.
Veterans appreciation celebrations are set for Saturday in Gaffney, Woodruff and Waterloo. The town of Liberty is slated to hold their parade Sunday at 3 PM.
