An investigation is ongoing after a weekend shootout in the Upstate. The Spartanburg Police Department responded to a reported shooting on Charlesworth Avenue around noon, Saturday.
A witness told police that she and two friends returned to the home after learning that her ex-boyfriend was there. Another witness said that the ex-boyfriend went into the home carrying a rifle, but went back outside the home once he realized the woman wasn't there.
The woman said when she pulled up to the home, the suspect began firing at the vehicle she was in. Police say, the woman's friends returned fire before both parties fled the scene.
No arrests have been announced in connection to the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
