"Expanded Vision" global company looks for future growth in Upstate

Plastic Ominum announces expected job creation expected from multi-million dollar investment

An automotive equipment provider has announced plans to expand its operations in the Upstate. Plastic Omnium says it will create 76 new jobs, with a $17.7 million dollar expansion investment in its Anderson County facility.

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey said “This recent surge by South Carolina’s automotive industry to increase electric vehicle production continues to make a positive impact in our state and our environment. I offer my congratulations to Plastic Omnium for expanding in Anderson County, and I look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.”

The company has had a presence in Anderson County for over 25 years. The expansion is expected to be completed by February of next year.
