Funeral services for the Easley Police Officer that was struck and killed by an Amtrak Train last week, while coming to the aid of a person suffering from a mental health crisis were held Tuesday morning. Rock Springs Baptist Church served as the site to honor 22 year old, Officer Matthew Hare.
Governor Henry McMaster was among the many public officials that attended to pay their respects to the fallen officer.
Governor McMaster ordered all flags around the state to be lowered to half-staff today in honor of Officer Hare.
