The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated a fatal pedestrian collision early Tuesday morning in Spartanburg County.
Corporal Joe Hovis reports the driver of a 2012 Buick SUV was traveling on Drayton Road about a mile east of Spartanburg, when they struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where they later died of their injuries. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
No word on any charges in this collision.
