The investigation of a fatal house fire that left two people dead, led to an officer involved shooting in the Upstate, Wednesday night. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to the reported fire at a home on Millbrooke Circle in Greenville, Wednesday afternoon.

Two people were found dead inside the home and a person of interest in the case was then determined. Around 7PM, Deputies went to a home in Landrum to locate the person of interest. The Spartanburg County and Landrum Police Department also responded to assist.

The person of interest reportedly came out of the home brandishing a gun and an officer involved shooting took place. Both the Greenville and Spartanburg County Sheriff's Offices say that at least one of their deputies fired in the incident.

Neither the victims of the fire or the person of interest have been identified, as of the time of this report. SLED is investigating, which is standard protocol for officer involved shootings
