The father of a murder suspect is now facing charges after he allegedly lied to investigators. The arrest stems from the deadly shooting last month at a Gaffney school bus stop.
SLED says, Reginald Barnes Sr. is charged with accessory to murder after the fact. SLED was called into investigate by the Gaffney Police Department. Investigators say Barnes Sr. transported his son to hide from police after the shooting. Barnes Sr. reportedly lied to about his son's whereabouts and offered an alibi that was proven false.
The shooting left 17 year old, Jomiltron Fair Jr dead. Reginald Barnes Jr, Keveon Covington and a 16 year old suspect have all been arrested since the murder.
Barnes Sr. was then booked into the Cherokee County Jail.
