The FBI and other agencies are investigating reports of gunfire Wednesday night, near the Wateree Hydro Station near Ridgeway, just northeast of Columbia.
A spokesperson for Duke Energy said, the company was aware of the situation and said there were no outages reported and there was no damage to their equipment.
This comes just days after at least two Duke Energy substations were damaged by gunfire in Moore County NC, near Raliegh which knocked out power for around 35,000 customers. Duke Energy crews have since restored power to all those affected by the outage.
