The cause of a fire that burned at an Upstate home during the night, has not yet been announced. The fire was reported around 9:15 Monday night at a home on Mayfield Road in Greer.
Fire crews were able to get the fire squared away after being on the scene just over an hour. The blaze reportedly started in a bedroom of the home and spread to the attic. Officials say no one was home and no injuries were reported. There's been no official word on how the fire started.
