A drive is underway to help feed veterans in the Upstate over the holidays. Upstate Warrior Solution in Greenville is one of the locations collecting non-perishable food items though Friday, as part of the Thanksgiving Food Drive. It's the 3rd annual installment of the drive.
The South Carolina Department Of Veteran Affairs and Harvest Hope Food Bank are partnering together in the initiative. Data from Feeding America says one in nine veterans struggle with some sort of food insecurity.
Last year's drive collected over 2,500 pounds of food and the goal is to eclipse that number this year. The collected food will be delivered to Harvest Hope Food Bank.
