Former American Idol Top 5 Finisher still awaiting bond decision

A former American Idol top 5 finisher from the Upstate charged in a fatal February crash will remain behind bars, as a decision on his bond is still being deliberated on. 17 year old, Caleb Kennedy of Roebuck is facing a felony DUI charge after a crash that killed 54 year old, Larry Parris on February 8th.

Kennedy appeared in court virtually on Thursday morning, as the results of his toxicology screen were revealed. The reports says that he had a THC level of .15 and 66 grams of prescribed Prozac in his system at the time of the crash.

The judge ruled Thursday that a decision on Kennedy's bond will have to wait a few more days. The family of Larry Parris is continuing to ask that he be denied bond. Kennedy will remain in custody at the Spartanburg County Detention Center until a decision is made on his bond.
