
Former South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright says the Senate's late-night compromise of the Open-Carry bill actually restricts some South Carolina gun rights. Bright has been a longtime staunch supporter of 2nd Amendment right.
However he says his 1st issue with the bill is that it would consider misdemeanor gun offenses the same as felonies. Another criticism is that the bill would establish two classes of punishment for gun crimes/
