
The South Carolina Attorney General's office has announced additional charges against a caregiver at NHC in Laurens. 53 year old, Ursula Marie Davis has been charged with Second Degree Assault and Battery in a July 17 incident at the facility.

Davis is accused a placing a resident in a headlock and hitting them in the head causing injuries that required medical attention. This new charge is in addition to a previous count of ‘Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult’ that was made by the Laurens Police Department on August 2nd.
Davis was booked into the Laurens County Detention Center Monday. Both charges on Davis will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office. Second Degree Assault and Battery is a misdemeanor with a penalty of up to $2,500 and up to three years in prison.
