The charged came from an incident in 2017, in which Lewis took a department funder trip to Charlotte, where he had sexual relations with a female staff member. The nature of the sexual acts were disputed, with Lewis claiming it was consensual and the woman claiming she woke to him having sex with her after the two were drinking the night before.
After being denied parole, Lewis is set to serve the remaining six months on his sentence.
