A former teacher at a Christian School in the Upstate is facing charges after being accused of having sexual relationships with students.
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office says 36 year old Norman Jermaine Roberson, of Piedmont was teaching at Fountain Inn Christian when the incidents occurred.
Investigators say that the inappropriate relationships began in 2015. Roberson is charged with 8 counts of sexual battery with a student.
The ages of the victims have not been released, but the ages will determine the severity of the crime. If the victims are 16 or 17 years old, that constitutes felony charges. If the student is 18, then the crime is a misdemeanor.
