Fugitive wanted in Georgia arrested after Upstate traffic stop

A man wanted in Fulton County, Georgia is behind bars in the Upstate after a traffic stop on I-85. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says deputies executed a traffic stop on a vehicle, Thursday afternoon.

A passenger in the vehicle initially gave deputies his brother's name, who deputies learned was wanted in Texas. As deputies, tried to take the suspect into custody, he ran and climbed over a barbed wire fence. A search then ensued using a police helicopter, drones and K-9 units. The suspect was quickly located and apprehended.

Deputies then discovered that his real name is Devin Daniels. The 29 year old suspect was wanted in Georgia for a probation violation stemming from a weapons charge. Daniels is currently being held in Anderson County and will be extradited back to Fulton County
