
A fugitive wanted on nearly two dozen open warrants in Western North Carolina is now in custody. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was able to locate and capture 42 year old, Ronald Lee Peak of Hendersonville on Monday.
Peak was wanted on more than 20 warrants from Henderson, Buncombe and Haywood Counties. Investigators say when Peak was found he had over an ounce of meth, 9 grams of fentanyl and nearly 4 grams of cocaine.
He now faces additional charges for trafficking meth and fentanyl in a school zone and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Peak is being held in Buncombe County on a bond of over 1 million dollars.
