That same faculty member has been accused of being associated with other groups connected to white supremacy organizations. Furman President Elizabeth Davis said, in a letter to the school's employees that the professor's alleged ties to the group go against Furman's values and are harmful to the school's sense of inclusion on campus.
Davis did not reveal the name of the professor in question, but did say they would not teach or be on campus while the allegations are investigated.
