Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler is investigating the shooting death of a Gaffney woman found outside a residence Sunday Night. Fowler identified the victim as 50 year old Velvet Denise Foster.
Fowler said Foster was found in the front yard of a home under construction on Catawba Road at 12:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the head.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the death investigation. No arrests
