
The bus driver shortage is so severe that now Greenville County Schools are asking for parents to drive their kids to school. Chicago Public Schools are scrambling to find school bus drivers after nearly 100 quit after refusing to abide by a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she's talking with rideshare companies, including Uber and Lyft, to transport thousands of students. However, reporters pointed out that those companies don't allow anyone under the age of 18 to ride without an adult. Also, neither Lyft nor Uber has made COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for their drivers. CPS was already short about 500 bus drivers for the school year.
