Authorities say the suspect in the shooting at Tanglewood Middle School is in custody. Around 1:45 this afternoon, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said the person believed to be responsible for the shooting was taken into custody. The suspect is a male student at Tanglewood and was found close to the school after a search by deputies.
The identity of the suspect has not been released and likely won't be due to him being underage. The shooting happened around 12:30 this afternoon and the victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated. There's still no word on the victim's condition. The Sheriff's Office does not have any further information as of this time, but did say that there are no additional suspects.
