The man believed to be responsible for the bank robbery at the Wells Fargo location on White Horse Road Monday morning is in custody. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says they received information from the Pelzer Police Department Monday afternoon that the suspect vehicle was spotted in their area.
Shortly after that, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office stopped the suspect in the vehicle spotted at the robbery. The suspect was taken into custody at gas station in Anderson County. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect’s identity will be released when formal charges are made.
Deputies responded to the call which came in at 10:42am, after learning that a suspect approached a bank teller and demanded cash. No weapon was seen, however it was implied he had one. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a black pick-up truck.
