Girlfriend Arrested in Anderson County Stabbing

A woman has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing earlier this month in Anderson County.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home on Sherwood Drive in Belton to conduct a welfare check. When deputies arrived, they found a man deceased inside the home with multiple stab wounds. A second person at the scene was also injured.

The victim was identified as 41-year-old Edwin Larry Burns Jr. The injured survivor was identified as Burns’ girlfriend, Amanda G. Lee.

Lee was transported to the hospital on January 6, 2026 for treatment of stab wounds.

Following an investigation, deputies determined that Lee stabbed Burns multiple times before stabbing herself.

Lee was released from the hospital over the weekend and transported to the Anderson County Detention Center, where she was charged with murder.

She is scheduled to appear before a judge on January 18, 2026.
